What is Electrolysis?
Electrolysis is a method of permanent hair removal that is safe and effective for nearly everyone. The procedure is suitable for all skin types and tones, and works on all hair colors and types. It can be done on nearly all areas of the body.
How does it work?
An electrologist targets one hair at a time by inserting a small probe into the hair follicle. The probe delivers a very short electrical signal which permanently disrupts the hair root, preventing future regrowth and removing the hair.
How does it compare to laser?
Electrolysis is safe for all skin and hair color combinations. Laser works by heating the dark pigment in the hair follicle to cause damage and destroy the hair. This can mean laser does not work for people with darker skin tones, or lighter hair colors. If you've tried laser treatment and still have unwanted hair growth in the area, electrolysis is an excellent option to permanently remove the hairs laser can't.
